Zoraida Pimentel Fernandez

Zoraida Pimentel, 82, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

She was born in Puerto Rico on June 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Dionisio and Maria (Carrion) Pimentel. Zoraida was a seamstress locally and in New York City.

Zoraida is survived by her beloved Victor of 66 years; sons, Miguel and Gabriel (Maria) Fernandez; daughters, Haydee (Joseph) Fernandez and Myra Fernandez; brother, Salvador Pimentel; sister, Isabelle Pimentel; grandchildren, Manny, Cynthia, Melbin, Angel, Jennifer, Christopher, Elisa, Mariah, Christian, Victor Jr. and Crystal and 15 great-grandchildren, especially close are Ja'Cere, Emilio, Emanie, Jahiem, Cataleya and Baby Joey Jr. She was predeceased by her son, James, Frank and grandson, Joseph.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 10 am-12 Noon at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort. Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation at 12 Noon with Fr. Joseph Salerno officiating. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
