Winifred J. Jacobs

Mrs. Winifred J. Jacobs Frankfort - Mrs. Winifred J. Jacobs, 83, of 112 Sunset Circle passed away Thursday, June 30, 2005 in Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rainham Mark, England on July 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Frederick and Nellie Allchin Millen. The family came to the United States and settled in Oswego. She attended Oswego schools and graduated from Oswego High School with the class of 1939. She was married to Lorne Jacobs on November 1, 1941 in Oswego. Mr. Jacobs passed away on May 19, 2004. Mrs. Jacobs was a Fork Lift Operator and a Radio Dispatcher for Carrier Air Conditioning Co., Syracuse for many years. She was a member of Frankfort United Methodist Church and the Pinto Horse Association. Winnie will be remembered by horse people for being active through her daughters and granddaughters being avid horsewomen. Winnie also served as a Horse Show Judge and taught Equitation to select riders. Winnie is survived by one daughter & son in law, Patti & William O'Hanlon of Jeffersonton, VA; her grandchildren, Kimberly & her husband, Mark Maneen of Frankfort, Katie O'Hanlon of NJ, Michele & her husband, Scott Arnold of VA and Richard & his wife, Lorraine Bell of Barrington, NH; her great grandchildren, Lynsie Ferguson, Cassidy Maneen, Lucy Arnold and Brandon Bell; one brother & sister in law, George & Jan Millen, Oswego; her nephews and nieces, Jerry & Debbie Millen, Sheila Millen and Lori Windey; great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Millen, Ashley Millen, Amy & her husband, Chris Sutter and George Millen III; two great great nephews, Nathanial Sutter and Gavin Sutter; her special friend, Candie Ruff and several cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharon J. Clark on March 5, 2004, son in law, Richard E. Clark on August 30, 2001; one granddaughter, Kristine Clark Bell on November 11, 1991 and one nephew, George Millen Jr. Her funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 12:00 noon in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Interment will be in Frankfort Center Cemetery.
