Frankfort - Mrs. Vivian A. (Roberts) Withers, 89, of Frankfort passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 in Foltsbrook with her family by her side.

She was born in Utica, New York on December 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Marie Laribee Roberts and she attended local schools. She was married to George Withers on July 29, 1950 in New Hartford. The couple enjoyed a long and happy union of 72 years until George’s passing on August 21, 2022. Vivian began her working career at Horrock-Ibbotson Co. manufacturing fishing reels. She also was employed as an assembler at both Univac and General Electric. In the 1970’s, she changed her career path and joined the Printers Union. She was a bindery woman for several local print shops including Peters Printing and T J Griffith, Utica. She ended her working career at Dodge Graphics in 1995.  Vivian enjoyed traveling and she and George made many trips across the United States while vacationing. She was a fan of all types of music and loved to attend concerts for both country and pop stars. She enjoyed musicals both locally and on Broadway.

Vivian is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Darlene Gill and Georgene and her husband, Frank Viti; one son and daughter in law, Butch and his wife, Karen Bullis Withers ; her grandchildren, Dan and his wife, Lynn Gill, Andrew and his wife, Erin Joy Gill, Erin and her husband, Chad Cornelius, Dana and husband, Jon Giangiacomo and Frank and his wife, Rachel Viti lll; nine great grandchildren; one sister and brother in law, Diane and her husband, Claude Strife; one brother and sister in law, James and his wife, Ruth Roberts; her sister in law, Molly Roberts and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, John Roberts and her son in law, Daniel P. Gill.

Her funeral will be held Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM in from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. Interment will be in Frankfort Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday, September 24 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
