Herkimer - Mrs. Victoria M. Vennera, 91, of Claxton Manor, N. Washington St. passed away peacefully Saturday, June 2, 2012 in her home.
She was born in Brooklyn on April 29, 1921, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Marie Papa Costanza and she attended schools there. She was married to Frank P. Vennera on July 31, 1971 in St. Joseph's Church, Dolgeville. Frank passed away on June 10, 2000. Vicky was employed by Allegro Shoe, Little Falls until her retirement in 1986 after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church.
Vicky was a loving wife and mother and is survived by one daughter, Maria Elaine Fiorentino of Herkimer; two sons and one daughter in law, Francis "Chick" and Suzanne Vennera of Burbank, CA and Anthony Vennera of Middleville; four grandchildren, Victoria Nicole Vennera, Angela and her husband, Tucker Rosemyer, Jillane Vennera and Robert Fiorentino; two great grandchildren, Vega Rosemyer and Ivory Rosemyer; three special nephews, Sam Costanza, Santo Costanza and Richard Dineen and several cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Santo Costanza and Peter Costanza
Her funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 9:30 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 at Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home.
