Victor F Caliguire

Walterboro, SC - Victor F Caliguire, 91, of Walterboro, SC formerly of Mohawk passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 in Veteran’s Victory House with his family by his side.

He was born in Herkimer, on April 12, 1932, the son of the late Joseph and Rose Caliguire He attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School. He served with the US Airforce during the Korean War and was Honorable Discharged on March 16, 1956 with the Rank of Airman 2C.  He was married to Isabella Federico on June 23, 1957 in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. Isabella passed away on April 18, 2010. Victor was employed by as the Manager for Chicago Markets, Utica, Remington Arms, Ilion and was an attendant and driver of V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. and Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, for many years. Vic was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church.

Victor is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Rose and Gregory Pallay and Donna and Sandy LaMarco all of Summerville SC; his twin brother and sister in law, Mario and Rebecca Caliguire of Estero FL; his grandchildren, Holli Luppino, Alaina LaMarco, John LaMarco, Joanna LaMarco and Ryan and  his wife, Amanda Luppino; four great grandchildren, Tianna Hunter and her boyfriend, Eric; Payton Luppino and Madelyn Luppino his in laws, Paul and Shirley Federico of New Smyrna Beach FL and Anthony and Mildred Federico of Little Falls and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters in law, Peter and Olga Caliguire, Joseph "Pep" and Genevieve Caliguire, Carl Caliguire and three sister and bothers in law, Carrie and Joe Barbuto, Florence Caliguire and Laura Caliguire.

His funeral will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St. Herkimer where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Babiuch. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, E. Herkimer. Calling hours will be Friday, June 2 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort. Vic’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Patriot Hospice and Veteran’s Victory House.

His funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY.
