Vernon John Dihrberg

Mohawk - Mr. Vernon J. "Hap" Dihrberg, 77, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side and in his heart. He was born in Van Hornesville on June 7, 1937, the son of the late Thurlow and Lucille Lane Dihrberg. He served in the Army from Feb. 7, 1955 until his Honorable Discharge on Feb. 15, 1958. He was Owner and Operator of Hap's Tree Service in the Mohawk Valley for many years. Hap is survived by four children and ten grandchildren, Suzanne L. (Dihrberg) Sproles and her children, Joshua R. Fahey, Heather Y. Fahey, Shaunna J. (Fahey) Brown and Holly C. (Fahey) Cupp; Michael J. and Tiffany F. Dihrberg and their children, Michael J. Dihrberg II and Mikayla T. Dihrberg; and Jason J. and Christina Dihrberg and their children, Jaydence, Noah and Alex Dihrberg and Ashley Gonzalez. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Amanda Fahey. In keeping with Hap's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in Litchfield Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
