Thomas G. Nedzynski

Eatontown, NJ - Frankfort - Dr. Thomas G. Nedzynski, PHD, 78, of 15 Emma Place passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in Monmouth Medical Center. He was born in Frankfort on January 26, 1931, the son of the late Felix and Mary Drabent Nedzynski. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler High School with the class of 1948. He served with the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Following his service to our country he returned to school and attended and graduated from Lemoyne University and attained his Bachelors degree, received his Masters Degree from Georgetown University, and his Doctorate in Philosophy from Catholic University, Washington, DC. He was married to Florence Zimmerman Sachs in 1995 in the Shadowbrook Inn, Shrewsbury, NJ. Dr. Nedzynski was employed in Computer Security Operations by the federal government and later for AT&T, Middletown, NJ for many years. He was a communicant of St. Dorothea's Church, Eatontown, NJ and a former communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul's Church, Frankfort. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Florence Nedzynski; three sisters and two brothers in law, Marie and James Powell of Utica, Bernice and Daniel Merriam of Rochester and Rita Nedzynski of Utica; three step sons, Edward Sachs of Nashville, TN, Robert Sachs and Leonard Sachs both of VA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters, Janette Nedzynski, Elizabeth Nedzynski and Anne Nedzynski. His funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 12:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 1:00 in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin, pastor assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning 10:30 to 12:30 at the funeral home.
