Thomas Edward Mason

Mr. Tommy E. Mason Herkimer - Mr. Tommy E. Mason, 49, of 335 S. Washington St passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 3, 2008 in Little Falls Hospital. He was born in Herkimer on March 9, 1958, the son of Larry Mason and the late Julie Jaquays and he attended Mohawk schools. He was married to Deborah Woods on June 2, 2001 in Litchfield. Mr. Mason was employed as a Caretaker for V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Frankfort, Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, Herkimer and Twin Oaks Memorials. Tommy loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and the beach. He especially loved going to his son, Austin's sporting events to support him and his team mates. He will always be remembered as a loving, strong, kind and loyal husband, father, son, brother and friend. Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Mason; his father and step mother, Larry & Nancy Mason of Litchfield; his children, Shane, Kaylee, Austin and his sister, Savannah; his step son, James; two brothers and one sister in law, Patrick & Candy Mason of Ancrumdale, NY and Wesley Mason & his companion, Nadine Meyerriecks of Herkimer; two sisters and one brother in law, Luann & Dennis Mowers of Mohawk and Barbara Weber and her companion, Robert Rando of Herkimer; one step brother, Larry Mason II of Litchfield; his mother in law, Marge Woods; his in laws, Dan & Pat Woods and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Julie Diane Jaquays See on July 7, 1997. His funeral will be held Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer. Spring interment will be in Kinne Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tommy's memory maybe made to his son, Austin's college fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
