Thomas P. Donahue, born June 29, 1946, in Ilion, passed away May 06, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph Donahue and Ann Campulugo-Donahue, Mother in-law Helen Maine-Gardner and Special Brother in-law James Ruggerio.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Debra A. Ruggerio-Donahue they spent 35 years together and united in marriage July 3rd 2016; children, Patrick (Brenda)Donahue, Amanda Klein; and twins Shannon(Andrew)Donahue, Zachary (Henrryk)Donahue. His cherished grandchildren; Nathan Klein, Michael Donahue, Garrett Klein, and Ava Klein.His brother, Peter(Kathy) Donahue, Father-in law Louis (Laurie) Ruggerio, Sisters in-law, Pam(John) Cancelino,Sheila (Scott) Burke,Kim (Larry) Ciacca, Paula (Tim) Ruggerio, Brothers in-law Louis Jr. Sonia) Ruggerio, Edward (Angela) Gardner,Robert (Erin) Ruggerio, Edward (Stacy) Ruggerio, Jason (Courtney) Leonard, Jason (Nick Crush) Ruggerio. Thomas was also survived by several friends and a very special long-time friend and neighbor Jake Putch.
Thomas began his career with an apprenticeship at UNIVAC in tool and die work, it was then when he developed a strong work ethic and dedication that would define his life. He later worked for Remington Arms for over 26 years, where he was a respected employee. Formed lifelong friendships, and worked until his retirement in 2005.
Alongside his wife, Thomas also proudly owned Deb's Diner in Herkimer, where they built not only a business but a place filled with warmth and laughter.
He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his devotion to his family, his passion for hunting, and the joy he found spending time at camp, and on the golf course. Thomas had a special way of lighting up every room he entered, sharing love, laughter, and kindness with those closest to him.
His legacy lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Stark and Hospice and Pallative Care for their care and compassion for Thomas.
Thomas will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
His funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.
His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc 203 Second Ave., Frankfort
