Franklin,NJ-FrankfortMr. Thomas R. Collins, 80, of Franklin, NJ formerly of Frankfort passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in Sussex County Homestead. He was born in Frankfort on October 10, 1926, the son of the late Thomas Henry and Ellen Eiffe Collins III and he attended Frankfort schools. Thomas served with the US Army during World War II in the European Theater with the 202nd Military Police Company and was Honorably Discharged on November 11, 1946 with the rank of Corporal. He was united in marriage to Shirley M. Riley. Mr. Collins was an Industrial Specialist for United States Government working throughout the United States for 23 years until his retirement in 1987. He was a Communicant of Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ and was a competitive Bridge Player and an avid Yankees fan.. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley M.(Riley) Collins; three daughters & two sons in law, Suzan & her husband, Alex Wronka of West Winfield, Cynthia Collins of Franklin, NJ and Barbara & her husband, Rich Griffin of Oxford, NJ; one brother & sister in law, James & His Wife, Jane Collins of Frankfort; three sisters & one brother in law, Mary Agnes Cafaro and Sr Patricia Collins both of Albany and Jane & her husband, Jack Carter of Ilion; five grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Harold Collins and one sister, Mary Ann Dikeman. His funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday evening from 7-9 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
