Thomas Castilla

Frankfort - Mr. Thomas Castilla, 100, of 459 Joslin Hill Rd passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. He was born in Ilion on September 27, 1907, the son of the late Angelo and Rose Spatol Castilla and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Pasqualina Guazzo on September 13, 1937 in Nutley, NJ. Tom was the owner and operator of his family farm for many years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the Christian Assembly Of Schuyler. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Pasqualina Castilla; two sons & one daughter in law, Angelo & Frances Castilla of Herkimer and Patrick Lewis Castilla of Frankfort; one daughter & son in law, Rosalie & Charles Schmidt of Fishers Landing; one brother, Carl Cy Castilla of Frankfort; his in laws, Anna Castilla of Frankfort, Josephine Castilla of Clinton, Madlyn Boyers of TN and Mary Parella of NJ; his grandchildren, Dale & his wife, Lisa Castilla, Michael & his wife, Dana Castilla and Sandra Castilla; five great grandchildren, Abigail Castilla, Gabrielle Castilla, Alec Castilla, Jeffrey Castilla and Christopher Castilla and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by five brothers, Anthony Castilla, James Castilla, Jacob Castilla, Joseph Castilla and Frank Red Castilla His funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:00 Christian Assembly Of Schuyler, Rt 5, Schuyler with the Rev. Robert Burge, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday evening from 7-9 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort.
