Theodore Cioch

Herkimer - Mr. Theodore Cioch, 91, of 942 Steuben Hill Rd. passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 in Valley Health Services with his family by his side. He was born in the Town of Warren on May 26, 1925, the son of the late Paul and Agnes Babinski Cioch and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Anne Wereszczak on May 26, 1951 in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Herkimer. Ted was employed by Union Fork and Hoe, Frankfort, later as Salesman and Branch Manager for Holland Furnace and was the owner and operator of Central Heating & Plumbing, Herkimer. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort and a member of the Polish Community Home in Herkimer. Ted is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Cioch; three sons and two daughters in law, Gary and Judith Cioch and James Cioch, all of Herkimer, and Joseph and Debra Cioch of Deerfield; four grandchildren, James Cioch and his wife, Emily, Lesley Cioch, Leah Cioch Kavanagh and her husband, Shawn and Emily Laurel Cioch; his in laws, Jane Cioch of Utica, Catherine Wereszczak of Utica and Al Wereszczak and his wife, Margaret of Herkimer and Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by seven brothers, Joseph Cioch, John Cioch, Walter Cioch, Frank Cioch, Stanley Cioch, Ed Cioch and Leon Cioch and three sisters, Catherine Bogdan, Stella Witkowski and Helen Vercz. His funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 11:00 am until the time of services at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home.
