Stella Kryniak

Herkimer - Ms. Stella Kryniak, 87, of 305 Eastern Ave. passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Valley Health Services. Stella was born in Herkimer on September 18, 1923, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Mazurak Kryniak. She attended Herkimer schools, graduating with the class of 1941 and she went on to attend the Utica School of Commerce. Ms. Kryniak was the Office Manager for Irving Basloe, Esq. in Herkimer for over fifty years. She was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and it's Sisterhood. Stella is survived by her sister and brother in law, Helen and Ezzio Macrina of Herkimer; her nephews and their spouses, Dr. David and his wife, Nancy Macrina, Gary and Laurel Paslow, and Michael Kryniak. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Paslow on April 18, 1986 and Ann Kryniak on March 5, 2001 and her brother, Nicholas Kryniak on September 20, 1976. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer and at 9:30 AM in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church with the V.Rev. Ivan Semko, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 PM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. Parastas will be held Monday evening at 6:30 at the funeral home with Father Semko, officiating.
