Frankfort - Mrs. Sara Libritz, 94, of 129 Piper Lane passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Folts Home.
She was born in Oriolo, Province of Calabria, Italy on April 9, 1918, the daughter of the late James and Anna Bonamassa Accattato and she attended Frankfort Schools. She was married to Michael Libritz on October 9, 1944 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Michael passed away on June 3, 2008. Sara was a self-employed hairdresser for many years until her retirement in 1965. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the St. Francis Di Paolo Society
Sara is survived by her sister, Gemma Tassino of Utica; her sister in law, Catherine Accattato-Snider of Frankfort; several beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Marceline Torchia in 2005 and three brothers, Dominick Accattato in 1989, Nick Accattato in 1929 and Frank Accattato in 1963.
Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave, Frankfort, and at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 8:30 until the time of services at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
