Salvatore Sam Tocco

Mr. Salvatore J. "Sam" Tocco Frankfort - Mr. Salvatore J. "Sam" Tocco, 79, of 503 Kernan Ave passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 in Bassett Health Care with his family by his side. He was born in Frankfort on February 23, 1936, the son of the late James and Frances Mannino Tocco and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Geraldine Hughes on August 2, 1958 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Sam is a Salesman for Chromate Industrial, Bohemia, L I for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and an Exempt member of the Frankfort Volunteer Fire Department. Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine Tocco; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Marie and George Treen of Ilion and Mary Margaret and Frank Della Posta of Frankfort; two grandchildren, Robert and his wife, Rachel Squire of Cicero and Carl Della Posta of Frankfort; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Squire and Jacob Squire; one brother and sister in law, Joseph and Beatrice Tocco of W. Winfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Richard Malmgren of Tucson, AZ; two sisters in law and brothers in law, Eleanor and Joseph Tamburro and Gail and Richard Maggiolino all of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother in law, Julia Hughes and his brother in law, Charles Hughes. His funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:45 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 9 from 4-8 at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
