Salena Nicole Waller
Utica- Salena Nicole Waller, 16, died suddenly from injuries resulting from a tragic auto accident on December 28, 2022.
She was born in New Hartford NY on September 20, 2006. While Salina lived in Utica she attended Columbus Elementary and later The House of Good Shepard. She was a very bright, beautiful girl who had an infectious laugh. In her short time here, she learned to become resilient to the many trials and tribulations she was forced to face at a young age. Salena was a communicate of St. Mary of MT. Carmel Church when she resided in Utica.
Salena leaves behind to mourn her siblings, Robert Joseph and Gianna; her foster mother, Julie who remained forever in her heart; her loving God Parents, Joseph A. and Melissa.
Salena, was a beautiful child who overcame so many difficult periods in her short lived life. She was strong willed, resilient and loved more than she was ever willing to accept. Fly High Salena, We are hoping that you are finally free of any earthly pain.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 4 at 11:00AM at St Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish with Father James Cesta officiating. Spring interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
We would like to extend a BIG thank you to all the agencies who took the time to help Salena during her difficult times. To all the county workers who shed tears (Shanice, Emily, Michele) this week and who have put professionalism before their feelings. Thank YOU
