Ruth H. Finster

Frankfort - Mrs. Ruth H. Finster, 87, of 500 First Ave. Ext. passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side. She was born in Mohawk on October 24, 1925, the daughter of the late Howard and Mira Mason Rowell and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Howard Finster on August 29, 1946 in North Columbia United Methodist Church. Ruth was employed as an Assembler for Remington Rand, Ilion, for many years. She was a member of East Schuyler United Methodist Church. Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Howard Finster; one son and daughter in law, Wayne and Joyce Finster of Newnan, GA; two grandsons, Keith Finster and his companion, Kyiah of WI and Sgt. Eric Finster and his wife, Samantha of AR; four great-grandchildren, Luke Finster, Violet Finster, Ezra Finster and Alexis Finster; her sister in law, Joanna Rowell of Frankfort; her aunt, Mavis Bunce of Schuyler and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four sisters, Florence Riehl, Lulu Hyer, Thelma Mowers and Mary Jane Bunce and one brother, Harry Rowell. Her funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Interment will be in East Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 10:00 to the time of services at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
