Rosemary A. Pepitone

Herkimer - Mrs. Rosemary A. Pepitone, 88, formerly of William St., passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Strong Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Herkimer on July 31, 1923, the daughter of the late Peter and Thomasina Donato Fierro and she attended Herkimer Schools. She was married to John F. Pepitone on February 19, 1944 in St. Anthony's Church. John passed away on May 5, 1999. Rosemary was employed as an Inspector for General Electric until her retirement in 1972 after 16 years of dedicated service. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and a member of the Crafty Ladies and the Home Bureau. Rosemary is survived by her beloved daughter and son in law, Julie and Louis Turri of Rochester; three grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer and her husband, Christopher Wofford, Jeffery and his wife Elizabeth Turri and Matthew Turri and his fiancé, Dr. Kristina Melchert; five great grandchildren, John Wofford, Louis Turri, Ana Rose Turri, Piper Turri and June Wofford; one brother, Angelo Fierro of Almonti, CA., two sisters in law, Reta Fierro of Utica and Mary Vore of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Fierro. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:00 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer and at 10:30 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday morning from 8:30 - 10:00 at Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home.
