Rose M. Woods

Mrs. Rose M. Woods Little Falls - Mrs. Rose M. Woods, 92, of Valley View Courts passed away Friday, January 19, 2007 in Valley Health Services. She was born in Little Falls on August 24, 1914, the daughter of the late Frank and Antonia Kolar Mlinar and she attended Little Falls schools. She was married to La Verne L. Woods on September 21, 1935 in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. Mr. Woods passed away on July 6, 1987. Mrs. Woods was employed as a cook for East Herkimer Elementary School for many years until her retirement in 1970. She was a Communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls and a former Communicant of St. Joseph's Church and a member of its Rosary Society. Rose was an avid bowler and golfer. Rose is survived by one son & daughter in law, Ret. Capt. James & Frances Woods of Topeka, KS; one daughter, Kathleen Dungey of N. Syracuse; one brother, Edward Mlinar of Little Falls; her grandchildren, James & his wife, Susan Woods Jr; Mary Ann & her husband, Gary Pilgrim, Christopher Hathaway and Laurie Hathaway; six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Frieda Strotemer and Veronica Hobb and one brother, William Mlinar Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 am in Holy Family Parish, E. Main St, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, Pastor. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
