Herkimer - Mrs. Rose B. Pelichowski Herkimer - Mrs. Rose B. Pelichowski, 95, formerly of Bellinger Ave passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in Crouse Community Center where she had been a resident for the past two years. She was born in Herkimer on January 28, 1912, the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria Buchlackey Schwihla. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School. She was married to John W. Pelichowski on March 30, 1931 in St. Francis De Sales Church, Herkimer. Mr. Pelichowski passed away on December 26, 2000. At one time, Mrs. Pelichowski was employed by Remington Arms and later as Manager for Mungers Department Store, Herkimer for many years. She was a communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church. Rose is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosalyn and Robert McGaugh of Hamiliton; son and daughter-in-law, John R. "Jack" and Janet Pelichowski of Brookings,OR.; ten grandchildren, Susan and her husband, Robert Hargis, Janet Laurie Dunn, John Edward and his wife, Lynn Pelichowski, David Andrew and his wife, Debbie Pelichowski, James Robert and his wife, Lynda Pelichowski, Mitchell Alan and his wife, Lisa Pelichowski, Michael and his wife, Ruth McGaugh, Maureen Spellicy, Patrick McGaugh and Terrance McGaugh; twenty one great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and her niece, Velta Straub of CA. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Facteau and Anna Shafer and one brother, Stanley Schwihla. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 11:00 AM in St. Francis De Sales Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Mark Cunningham, pastor. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9:00am to 10:30 am at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
