Frankfort - Mrs. Rose M. Crociata, 92, of 209 Third Ave. passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Frankfort on October 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Grace Ragusano Sgroi and she attended Frankfort Schools. She was married to Joseph Crociata in 1961 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Rose was employed by Univac, Ilion & Utica Plants until her retirement in 1978. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Crociata; one son, Joseph Crociata of Frankfort, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Nick Sgroi, Sam Sgroi, Frank Sgroi and Joseph P. Sgroi and four sisters, Grace Sgroi, Pauline Semario, Vita Carlesimo and Carmela Spatola.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:15 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, December 14 from 4-8 at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Monday at 4:15 at the funeral home for services.

Rose's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses of Hospice, St. Luke's Memorial Hospital's Stoke and Oncology Units for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her. A special thank you to Rose's cousin, Angela Belmont, RN for her dedication and love to her during her final days.
