Rose M. Caliguire

Herkimer - Port St. Lucie, FL - Mrs. Rose M. Caliguire, 89, of 115 N. Prospect St. Herkimer and of 165 S. E. Village Dr., Port St. Lucie, FL passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 in St. Lucie Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Herkimer on August 23, 1923, the daughter of the late Antonio and Lillian Annutto Morra and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to Vincent J. Caliguire, Sr. on October 8, 1949 in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer. Vincent passed away on May 19, 1995. Rose was employed by Gordon's in Herkimer and later by Melrose Market in Frankfort for many years. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, Herkimer and St. Lucie R.C. Church, Port St. Lucie, FL. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her love of cooking and baking showed in how wonderful she was at it. Rose is survived by two sons, Gregory Caliguire of Port St. Lucie, FL and Vincent Caliguire, Jr. of Jensen Beach, FL; her two beloved grandchildren, Ashlee Rose Caliguire and Joseph Caliguire; three sisters and brothers in law, Concetta and James Aiello, Angela and Edward Bingham and Patricia and Robert Volo, all of Herkimer; her special friends, Pastor Tom and Becky Kehres of Port St. Lucie and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Benjamin Morra KIA WWII, Rocco Morra and Joseph Morra. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning 9:30 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Washington St., Herkimer where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer.
