Frankfort - Mr. Rosario Chuck Di Gristina, 78, of 109 Sheldon Ave. passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in the comfort of his home. He was born in Frankfort on October 2, 1931, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Guarniere Di Gristina and he attended Frankfort schools. He was married to Josephine Juliano on October 23, 1954 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. Di Gristina was employed as an Assembler for Union Tools, Frankfort for many years until his retirement in 1992. Chuck was also a self employed truck farmer throughout the area. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of St. Francis DiPaolo Society, Frankfort and the V.F.W Post #502, Frankfort - Ilion. Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Josephine Di Gristina; two daughters and sons in law, Elaine and Darrel Moore of Herkimer and Josephine and Ray Bates of Frankfort; his cherished grandchildren, Ron Moore, Dana and her husband, Michael McGraw, Gina Moore and Melissa Bates and her fiancée, Rocco Fernalld; three sisters & one brother in law: Neva Volo of Little Falls, Rose Bellino and Florence & Carmen Cardarelli all of Frankfort; two brothers and one sister in law, Salvatore and Mary Di Christina of Frankfort and Joseph Di Gristina of Herkimer; his in laws, James and Geraldene Juliano of Schuyler, Joseph Spatola of Vineland, NJ and Benedict and Robin Juliano of Schuyler, Charles Wilkinson of Cicero and Rose Juliano of Utica and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by son, Joseph Di Gristina on December 14, 1980 and his sister, Joanna DiSpirito. His funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 11:00 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Leo Potvin and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the St Francis Society will meet Thursday evening at 7 at the funeral home for services.
