Rosaria Rose Fiorenza

Mrs. Rosaria Rose Fiorenza Herkimer - Mrs. Rosaria Rose Fiorenza, 99, of 130 Second Ave. passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Little Falls Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Gasperina, Province of Calabria, Italy, on October 24, 1915, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Teresa Catrambone Barbale and she attended schools there. She was married to Frank Fiorenza on November 13, 1938 in Gasperina, Italy. She and her family immigrated to the United States in April of 1958. Frank passed away on August 13, 1971. She was a member of Christian Assembly of Schuyler. Rosaria is survived by three daughters and one son in law, Maria Lazzuri with whom she resided, Josephine DeSanto of Rye, NY and Franca and Lawrence Wandell of Herkimer and seven grandchildren, Jane and her husband, Frank Baldessarre, Daniel Lazzuri, Sandra and her husband, Peter Siwek, Richard and Tracy Lazzuri, Melody and Maurizio Rosamilia, Marisa Wandell and Lisa Wandell; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons in law, Riccardo Lazzuri and Anthony DeSanto; one brother, Saverio Barbale; four sisters, Elisabetta Manafo, Maria Gallello, Domenica Clerico and Giuseppina Clerico. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:30 AM in Christian Assembly of Schuyler, Rt. 5, Schuyler, with the Rev. Robert Burge, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday evening from 5-9 PM in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer.
