Frankfort - Mrs. Rosalia N. Puleo, 78, of 139 Eighth Ave. passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at home with her family by her side.
She was born in Utica on March 25, 1937, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Catherine Nuccio Piccolino and she attended Utica schools. She was married to Joseph F. Puleo on October 11, 1958 in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church, Utica. They shared a blessed union of 48 years. Joseph passed away on June 23, 2006. Rosalia was at one time employed with General Electric and HDC and later was an Assembler for Lockheed Martin in Utica. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort.
Rosalia is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Angela and George Service of Frankfort and Cathy and Donald Ennis of MD; two sons and daughters in law, Paul and Nadia Puleo of FL and Guy and Jill Puleo of Utica; eleven grandchildren, Joelle, Janae, Vincent, AJ, Catrina, Maria, Shanya, Michaela, Gianni, Risa and Luca; one brother and sister in law, Marco and Palma Piccolino; her in laws, Paul Puleo, Rosemarie and Anthony Abone, Joanne Puleo Smith, Joann Puleo and Jodi Puleo; her special friends, Tessie, Gracie, Phyllis and Joe, Josephine and Don and Clara; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her canine companion, Phoebe. She was predeceased by one sister and brother in law Mary and Larry DelMastro and her father in law and mother in law Paul and Angelina Puleo.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:15 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 2:00 PM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 11:00 AM - 1:15 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosalia's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd. New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
