Richard V. Maggiolino
Frankfort - Richard V. Maggiolino, 84, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Foltsbrook, with his family by his side.
He was born in Richfield Springs, New York, on July 15, 1940, the son of the late Ignazio and Marion Lee Maggiolino and he attended schools in Richfield Springs. He served in the US Army and was Honorably Discharged on December 1, 1977, with the rank of Sergeant.
Richard was married to Gail Hughes on January 14, 1989, in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort.
He was employed by Rockford Auto and Glass in Utica for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Gail Maggiolino, of Frankfort; five sons, three daughters-in-law, Richard Matthew Maggiolino, Robert Louis and his wife, Kathy Maggiolino, of Verona, Ronald J. and his wife, Rebecca Maggiolino, of Seattle, WA, John and his wife, Joan Burress, of Frankfort, NY, Scott Burress of St. Paul, MN; one daughter, Gina Klett, of Waverly, NY; his grandchildren, Katie and her husband Craig Titone, Patty Maggiolino, Samantha and her husband Jonathon Swalgin, Robert and Nicole Gesner, Tyler Maggiolino, Lindsey and her husband Nicholas Palmer, Ryan Munkholm and Jennifer Burress, Miranda and her husband Zachery Beeman; his great grandchildren, Jonathon, Chandler, Alexia, Olivia, Sophia, Gracie, Gretchen, Grayson, and Julian; his sister- in-law, Eleanor Reina Tamburro, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Randall Scott Maggiolino, in December of 2022, and a brother, John Maggiolino, along with his son-in-law, Charles W. Klett.
His funeral will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12:00PM at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort, where a funeral service will be celebrated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort. Calling hours will be Saturday, May 17th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
Richard’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to his niece, Bernadette Reina, and to the nurses and staff of Foltsbrook for all the kindness and compassion shown to him and his family.
