Mr. Richard C. Farrell
Frankfort - Mr. Richard C. Farrell, 77, of 1854 Albany Rd. passed away, Saturday, March 18, 2017 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Utica on February 28, 1940, the son of the late Clark and Lillian Edwards Farrell. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1958. He served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged on April 6, 1965. He was married to Barbara Lee Morgan on September 22, 1962 in N. Utica. Barbara passed away on November 14, 2014. Richard and his father, Clark were the co-owners and operators of Farrell's Gas Station in Whitesboro for many years. He was also employed at Baker's Greenhouse in N. Utica and later was a Driver for the Whitesboro School System in Whitesboro until his retirement in 2014.
Richard is survived by one son and daughter in law, Robert and Cynthia Farrell of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Andrew Moraco and his companion, Deanna, April Moraco and Crystal Moraco; two great grandchildren, Avina and Andi Marie; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Gail Farrell of Frankfort and Judy and Gary Horst of AZ; one brother and sister-in-law, James and June Farrell of Frankfort; his in laws, Robert Morgan of TX and Judy Caldwell of IA; a special cousin, Susan Fryc; his beloved canine, Bowser and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, Richard Louis Farrell on February 11, 1964, one daughter, Kimberly Ann Farrell on December 13, 1973 and one brother, Kenneth Farrell in 2009.
His funeral will be held Thursday evening at 5:30 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. Spring interment will be in Frankfort Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 23 from 4-7 PM in the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
