Riccardo Lazzuri

Mr. Riccardo Lazzuri Herkimer - Mr. Riccardo Lazzuri, 74, of 130 Second Ave went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a long illness on Saturday, October 23, 2004 in Valley Health Services with his family by his side. He was born in Garfaniana, Provine Of Lucca, Italy on May 28, 1930, the son of the late Pacifico and Chiarina Bechelli Lazzuri and attended schools there. He served with the Italian Army and came to this country in 1965. While residing in Italy, Riccardo was the Pastor of the Evangelical Church of Pieve Fosciana.He was married to Maria Fiorenza on November 27, 1965 in Herkimer. Mr. Lazzuri was employed by Library Bureau and later for Remington Arms, Ilion for many years. He was a member of Christian Assembly Of Schuyler. Riccardo is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Maria Lazzuri; two sons & one daughter in law Daniel Lazzuri of Herkimer and Richard & Tracy Lazzuri of North Wales, PA; one daughter & son in law, Sandra & Peter Siwek of White Plains; his grandchildren, Joshua Siwek, Jacob Siwek, Jonathon Siwek and Jillian Lazzuri; two brothers & sisters in law, Agostino & Vincenza Lazzuri of Italy; and Quinto & Renata Lazzuri; five sisters & four brothers in law, Maria Asti, Rosa & Antonio Corso, Rita & Giovanni Lammari, Anna & Ottavio Lazzuri all of Italy and Ottaviana & Guido P. Scalzi of MI; his mother in law, Rosaria Fiorenza of Herkimer; his in laws, Franca & Lawrence Wandell, Josephine & Anthony De Santo and Teresa Lazzuri and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Carlo Lazzuri His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 AM in Christian Assembly Of Schuyler, Rt 5 Schuyler with the Rev. Richard Manafo. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Monday from 5-9 PM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer. Riccardo's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Nurses and Staff of Valley Health Service especially 1 East and Dr. Ward, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to him during his illness and passing.
