Regina E. Lichorowiec

Herkimer - Mrs. Regina E. Lichorowiec, 90, formerly of Talson Park Dr., passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. Regina was born in Herkimer on July 2, 1920, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Alice Kulawczyk Olechnicki. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1937. She was married to John S. Lichorowiec on November 25, 1943 in Joseph's Church by the Rev. Peter Kania. Mr. Lichorowiec passed away on February 19, 2008. Mrs. Lichorowiec was an Admissions Clerk for Herkimer Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Society. Regina is survived by one son and daughter in law, John Duane and Rita Lichorowiec of Glenmont, NY; two grandsons, Brian Lichorowiec and Sean Lichorowiec; her sister in law, Gladys Kozak of New Hartford; her nephew and godson, Robert and his wife Mary Pezdek of Niskayuna and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Florence Pezdek and her infant grandson, Kevin Patrick Lichorowiec on October 16, 1980. Her funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:00am from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer and at 9:30am in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
