Frankfort - Raymond L Almas Sr, 56, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Bassett Health Care with his family by his side.

He was born in Utica, NY, on October 30, 1969 the son of the late Harold and Donna Bougourd Almas. He attended Utica schools and graduated from Proctor High School. He later attended MVCC and received a degree in HVAC. Ray was employed as a HVAC Tech for Carrier Corporation and was the co-owner and operator of with his son, Ray Jr of North American Fleet Wash, Broad St., Utica. He was a communicant of Historic St John's Church.

Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond Almas Jr; three brothers, Harold Almas Jr, Robert Almas and Alex Almas; two sisters, Cheri Moskal and LeeAnn Almas; his very special cousin, Roc "Bubbles" Carzo Jr; good friend, Robin and her daughter, Abbey; his friends, Sal Ficchi, Tony Zenzillo, Steve Burline and Enzo Casamento and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Raymond was preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Donna Almas and his brother and side kick, Jack Almas.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Historic St. Johns Church, 240 Bleecker Street, Utica, NY 13501 where his Mass of Christian Burial by the Rev. Thomas Servatius, pastor. There will be no calling hours.

His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., Frankfort, New York.
