Herkimer - Mrs. Pauline M. Dawley, 86, of Sherwood Acres Dr. passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 peacefully in her home. She was born in Herkimer on May 5, 1929, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Kasprowicz Werenczak. She attended Ferncliff Country School for several years and later graduated from Mohawk High School with the class of 1946. She was married to James R. Dawley on May 31, 1948 in St. Joseph's Church by The Rev. Vincent Novak. Jim passed away on January 7, 2006. Pauline was the Inventory Control Officer for Chicago Pneumatic, Utica for many years until her retirement on September 27, 1985. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Mohawk. Pauline is survived by one brother and sister in law, Ed and Joan Werenczak and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Alice Werenczak and her brother, Theodore Werenczak. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 9:00 AM in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Quy Vo. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery later this spring. Calling hours will be Friday, January 8 from 4 - 7 PM at Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home.
