Frankfort - Mr. Paul A. Latella, 87, of 455 Fifth Ave. Ext. passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Frankfort on February 10, 1926, the son of the late Joseph and Sarah Condemi Latella and he attended Frankfort schools. Paul served with the US Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was Honorably Discharged on July 24, 1946. He was married to Catherine Feduccia on September 23, 1950 in St. Mary's Church. Paul was employed with GE, Utica for 36 years until his retirement in May of 1989. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member and Past Commander of the V.F.W Post 502, Frankfort. Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Latella; one daughter and son in law, Linda and Daniel McCoy of New Hartford; one son and daughter in law, Paul and Catherine Latella of Glen Mills, PA; his grandson, Jack Latella; his granddaughter, Sophie Latella; his in laws, Rose Gage, Anthony and Irene Feduccia and George Feduccia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson, Brian McCoy on November 27, 1999; three brothers, John Latella, Carl Latella and Anthony Latella and two sisters, Catherine Treen and Mamie Latella. His funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
