Mr. Nicholas Kravec, Sr
Schuyler - Mr. Nicholas Kravec, Sr, 66, of P O Box 220 Rd 3 a life long resident of Schuyler passed away Sunday, January 14, 2007 in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
He was born in Ilion on December 19, 1940, the son of the late John and Anna Chuhralya Kravec and he attended Frankfort schools. Mr. Kravec was employed by Hubbell's Signs, Utica for many years until his retirement in 1987. Following his retirement he was a driver for many of the Amish families in the area. He was of the Orthodox Faith and a member of the Laborers Local #35, Utica and an Exempt Schuyler Volunteer Fireman. Nick was loved by all his friends, neighbors and his extended Amish family.
Nicholas is survived by two daughters, Karen Kravec & her companion, Paul Panik and Brenda Kravec; one son, Nicholas Kravec Jr. all of Herkimer; his companion, Carol Litten of Herkimer; three brothers& sisters in law, Michael & Rita Kravec of Hinnesville, GA, John & Mary Kravec of Schuyler and Peter & Maggie Kravec of Clayville; his nephews and nieces, Terry Kravec, David Kravec, Shawn & his wife, Toni Kravec, Vanessa Kravec, Patti Ann Kravec and Peter & his wife, Sherry Kravec; his neighbor and friend, Henry Bray; close friends, Roy & Winnie Kane, Jack Dineen, his extended family, the Schuyler 10 Softball Team and several cousins.
His funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 am in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer with Arch Priest James M. Jadick, Officiating. Spring interment will be in SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from at the 4-8 Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home.
