Ms. Nellie Margaret Pursiano Frankfort - Ms. Nellie Margaret Pursiano, 95, formerly of W. Main St. passed away Friday, July 8, 2011 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on November 6, 1915, the daughter of the late James and Mary Marine Pursiano. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the class of 1933. Nellie was at one time employed by Remington Arms Co and later at Rhodes Hospital, Utica during WWII. She was a valued employee of Chicago Pneumatic Tools as a well respected Blueprint Operator for 27 years until her retirement in 1978. Nellie also enjoyed working at the Frankfort Free Library as a librarian for many years. Her family was very important to her and she was a dedicated caregiver for her parents in their later years until their passing. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member Young At Heart Senior Citizens. Nellie is survived by her beloved brother and sister in law, George & Theresa Pursiano of Fayetteville; her niece, Patty and her husband, Michael Martin of Southborough, MA; her special great niece, Alexandra Martin; her devoted cousins, Phyllis & Paul Conigilaro of Frankfort and many cherished cousins. Her funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7 at the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Nellie's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Nurses and staff of Valley Heath Services for the wonderful care shown to her during her stay and passing. Contributions in Nellie's memory may be made to Valley Health Services, 690 W German St, Herkimer, NY 13350 or Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church, S. Frankfort St., Frankfort, NY 13340.
