Mrs. Natalina Faga

Herkimer – Mrs. Natalina Faga, 96, passed away on Saturday February 24, 2018 at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Fredericksburg.

She was born on Wednesday, February 1, 1922 in Serrastretta, Province of Catanzaro, Italy, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Fabiano Torchia. The family came to the United States on December 20, 1956. Natalina was married to Agostino Faga on September 6, 1942 in St. Thomas Church, Pianopoli, Italy. Agostino passed away on September 26, 2005. Natalina was employed by Derby Sportswear for several years. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church.

Natalina is survived by two daughters and one son in law, Rosa Fitch of Fredericksburg and Mary and Richard Tyner of Maryland; two sons and daughters in law, Angelo and Mary Jane Faga of Albany and Joseph and Lina Faga of Naples, Italy; her grandchildren, Angelo Faga and his wife, Christine, Michael Faga and his wife, Heather, Maria and her husband, Felice Columbia, Rossella and her husband, Dennis Stundl, Angela Faga, Michele Fitch, Susan and her husband, Jason Piaquadio, Brian Fitch and his wife, Amy, Renee and her husband, Kevin Colgan, Gina and her husband, Angelo Prego, Christina Tyner and her companion, Miguel Almonte and Rocco Tyner and his wife, Lindsey; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Agostino Faga, Dominic James Faga, Julianna Faga, Sammy Faga, Matthew Faga, Sarah McGraw, Jonathan McGraw, Danny Brewer, Matthew Agostino Brewer, Olivia Natalina Brewer, Sofia Maria Prego, Gabriel Richard Tyner, Grace Kimberly Tyner, Isabella Jewel Fitch, Donald Thomas Fitch, Agostino Almonte, Valentino Stundl and Giuseppe Columbia; one great-great-granddaughter, Kylie Dudney; two sisters, Norina Scalise of NYC and Tullia Scalise of Italy; one brother, Michele Torchia of Italy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son in law, Donald Fitch and her siblings, Viola Torchia, Gaetano Torchia, Mariastella Torchia, Luigina Torchia, Angelo Torchia and Gaetano Torchia.

Her funeral will be held will be held on Saturday morning at 8:30 AM from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer, NY and at 9:00 in Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Quy Vo, pastor. Her interment will be in Calvary Cemetery later this spring. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home.
