Mr. Michael Sciortino

Frankfort – Mr. Michael Sciortino, 79, of S. Litchfield St. passed away, Thursday, August 23, 2018 in St. Luke's Home.

He was born in Ilion on May 4, 1939, the son of the late Anthony and Marion Caiola Sciortino. He attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School. He was married to Doloris Lash on May 27, 1984 in St. Mary's Church. Doloris passed away on April 23, 2010. Michael was a Produce Manager for Chicago Market in Utica. Following his retirement, he was employed with Gillette’s Market in Rome for many years. Michael was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.

Michael is survived by his beloved son and daughter in law, Anthony and Olivia Sciortino of Harrisburg, PA; his uncle, Peter Caiola; his aunt, Mary Caiola; one sister in law and brother in law, Patricia and her husband, Charles Schaffer of Portland, ME and several beloved cousins.

His funeral will be held Saturday morning, September 1, 2018 at 9:45 AM from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Avenue, Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Calling hours will be Friday, August 31st from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.
