Frankfort - Mrs. Mary Vivacqua, 86, formerly of Spruce Dr passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Masonic Home with her family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on September 4, 1923, the daughter of the late Anthony and Angeline Cacciatore Papa and she attended Frankfort schools. Mary was united in marriage with Joseph "Shrimp" Vivacqua on September 25, 1944 in Marlborough, NY. Mr. Vivacqua passed away August 20, 2004. Mary was a member of Frankfort United Methodist Church, a life member of the Young At Heart Senior Citizens and a member of the United Methodist Women's Group. Mary will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking and gardening. Mary is survived by a son and daughter in law, Fred and Joan Vivacqua; one daughter and son in law, Linda and Sam Costanza, all of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Kirstin Vivacqua of New Hartford, Christine Vivacqua of Auburn, Jason Costanza of San Diego, CA and Corie Costanza of Myrtle Beach, SC; three great grandchildren, Shana Rose Vivacqua, Vincent Vivacqua and Thomas Vivacqua; three sisters and two brothers in law, Catherine Cushman Gilman of Ilion, Amelia and Thomas Loiacano of Frankfort and Phyllis and James Keeley of Mohawk; her in laws, Sid Vivacqua, Mary Foglia, Agnes Wilk and Dolores Vivacqua, all of Frankfort, Ann Vivacqua of Ilion and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort and at 11:00 in Morning Star United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Oak View Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-8PM at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Sunday afternoon at 4:15 at the funeral home for services. Mary's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Masonic Home's Woodgate Community for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her stay and passing.
