Mary C. Teso

Frankfort - Mrs. Mary C. Teso, 96, of 227 Putnam Place passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born in Herkimer on November 14, 1912, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Fioresta Cimino and she attended Herkimer schools. She was married to Joseph R. Teso on October 23, 1937 in St. Anthony's Church, Herkimer. Mr. Teso passed away on July 15, 1984. Mary was employed by Derby Sportswear, Herkimer for many years. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of The International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Mary is survived by one daughter and son in law, Patricia and Scott Bennett of Strawberry Plains, TN; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Teso of Alexandria, VA, Christine and her husband, John Penc of Springfield, MO and Amber and her husband, Cody Edrington of Knoxville, TN; special nieces and nephew, Debra Monroe of Ilion, Thomas and Darlene Abbatecola of Frankfort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Teso on July 23, 2003, seven sisters, Ida Sciangalipore, Angelina Brigano, Eva Weaver, Antoinette Tripolone, Concetta Rotundi, Irene Abbatecola and Fiorena Robbins and four brothers, Jacinto Cimino, James Cimino, Gigetto Cimino and Alfred Cimino. Her funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:00 AM from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by the V. Rev. Anthony Barratt, pastor and assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday from 4-6 and Sunday from 4-6 at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
