Mary N. Sweet

Mrs. Mary N. Sweet Frankfort - Mrs. Mary N. Sweet, 86, of 310 Bee Street passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2007 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. She was born in Frankfort on January 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Ignazzio (James) and Rose Polizzi Tripple and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Angelo Sweet on October 29, 1938 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort a blessed union of 68 years. Mrs. Sweet was employed as a Shirt Presser for M & M Cleaners, Utica, NY for 25 years and later for the Union Fork & Hoe Co. for 10 years until her retirement in 1983. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Angelo Sweet; three daughters & two sons in law, Phyllis & Augustine Fraccola, Rose & Matthew Zennamo and Bernadette Enjem all of Frankfort; one son, Joseph Sweet Sr. of Frankfort; one brother & sister in law, James & Helen Tripple of Frankfort; her in laws, Yolanda Tripple, Joseph & Kate Sweet, Bertha Sweet, Ada & Nick Sweet, Carmella (Louisa) Walawender and Josephine Tartaglia; her special friend and companion, Carmella Loiacano of Frankfort; nine beloved grandchildren, Maria Johnson, Gina Haley, Gusty Fraccola, Ronald Fobare, Gregory Fobare, Suzette Wright, Francis Enjem, Valerie Moore and Joseph Sweet Jr; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five brothers, PFC Samuel Tripple US Army KIA WWII, Anthony Tripple, John Tripple, Dominick Tripple and George Tripple and four sisters, Vita Bello, Florence De Carlo, Connie Lo Conti and Sarah Sgroi. Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
