Herkimer - Mrs. Mary Jane Simonette, 63, of 218 Church St. passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at home, with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in Carthage on January 27, 1949, the daughter of Earl and Hilda Benware Brown and she attended West Carthage schools, graduating from Ausable Forks High School with the class of 1967. She was married to Donald Simonette on August 2, 1998 in Schuyler. Donald passed away on January 25, 1999. She was at one time married to George Kissner. Mary was formerly employed by Nichols Discount City and later in the Accounts Receivable Department of the Herkimer ARC. She was a communicant of St. Francis De Sales Church, Herkimer. Mary is survived by one son, Jason Kissner of Utica; her father Earl and mother, Hilda Benware Brown of Port Leyden; two sisters and one brother in law, Susan DeRocco of Ilion and Patricia and Robert Douglas of Ausable Forks; four brothers and two sisters in law, John Brown of Herkimer, Joseph Brown of Herkimer, Daniel and Pam Brown of Herkimer and Timothy and Cheryl Brown of Monroe, NC and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her funeral home prayer service will be held Sunday evening at 8:00 PM in the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St., Herkimer with Rev. Mark Cunningham pastor of St. Francis De Sales Church, officiating. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi & Burns Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Jane's memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413 or to the Herkimer Area Resource Center, 350 S.
