Mrs. Mary Jane Bunce Schuyler- Mrs. Mary Jane Bunce, 78, of 3588 State Route 5 passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ilion on June 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Howard and Mira Mason Rowell and she attended Frankfort schools. She was married to Paul R. Bunce Jr. on October 12, 1945 in Frankfort. Paul passed away on July 11, 2003. Mary was a full time wife and mother who devoted her life to raising her daughters. She had a very special bond with her grandchildren, especially her grandson, James. Mary was of the Methodist faith and loved doing crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune and the Food Network. "Mom, we are grateful for your love and compassion. You were our mother and best friend. We are grateful to God that your suffering has ended. We brought you home as we promised. May you rest in peace." Mary Jane is survived by five daughters & sons in law, Sherry & Blase Di Sano of Frankfort, Evelyn & Jack Mower and Mary Lou & Robert Louis all of Schuyler, Paula & Alan Ricci of FL and Sheila & James La Fountain of Schuyler; her sister & brother in law, Ruth & Howard Finster of Frankfort; one sister in law, Joanna Rowell of Frankfort; her aunt, Mavis Bunce of Schuyler; ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters, Florence Riehl, Lulu Hyer and Thelma Mowers and one brother, Harry Rowell. Her funeral will be held Friday evening at 8:00 pm in the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort with the Rev. Roger Klossner, officiating. Spring interment will be in East Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-8 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Mary's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Parker, his wife and staff and the staff of Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare and Hospice for the outstanding care shown to her. A very special thank you to Nicole Mc Manus (her great granddaughter), Rose Ann, Irene, Colleen and Pat for the wonderful care and compassion shown to her during her illness and passing. By family request please omit floral offerings. Donations in Mary Jane's memory maybe made directly to the family.
