Mary Fran Palumbo

Mary Fran Palumbo, 88, passed away on December 21, 2025, peacefully in her home.

Mary Fran Palumbo was born on April 2, 1937 in Ilion, NY, to Nick and Frances Amendolare Vivacqua. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1954. She was married to James Palumbo Sr. on June 9, 1956 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Jim passed away on July 14, 2025. Mary Fran was employed at one time by General Electric, Mele Manufacturing and later by Fays Drugs. She would help her husband in the operation of Palumbo's Farm, Schuyler and Uncle Jim's Chuck Wagon. She was an active communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles. Being a devout catholic, Mary Fran could be seen praying to her rosary every day.

Mary Fran is survived by two sons and daughters in law, James and Sandra Palumbo Jr and Mark and Maria Palumbo; one daughter, Lisa Palumbo; one brother, Nick Vivacqua; one sister-in-law, Terri Palumbo and her grandchildren, Jamie and her husband, Markus Sykes, Mark and his wife, Jamie Palumbo Jr, Kim and her husband, Ryan Amuso, Kris and his wife, Julie Palumbo, Dante Palumbo, James Zalocha Jr, Matthew Zalocha, Mark Treen and Jesse Treen Sr.; her great-grandchildren, Madison Zalocha, Parker Zalocha, Hunter Palumbo, Jesse Treen Jr., Aiden Palumbo and Branson Palumbo and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Fran is preceded in death by her husband, James Palumbo Sr and her parents, Nick and Frances Vivacqua.

Her funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 AM from the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home Inc 203 Second Ave Frankfort and at 11:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her cousin, Rev. Frank Vivacqua. Spring interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort, NY.

Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 at the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
