Mary L. Fiore

Miss Mary L. Fiore Herkimer - Miss Mary L. Fiore, 84, of 315 S Main St passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She was born in Herkimer on September 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Porchetti Fiore. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class of 1942 and later attended and graduated from the Utica School of Commerce with the class of 1944. Mary was employed by Univac, Ilion Plant as Technician and later By MDS, Herkimer for many years. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church and a member of the Columbiets Society, Ilion Moose Lodge #1010 and a life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Aux. Mary is survived by two sisters, Jean Madigan of Ilion and Pauline Fiore of Herkimer and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews who were very dear to her. She was predeceased by two sisters, Angela Purpura and Inez Fiore. Her funeral will be held at the convenience of the family.
