Frankfort - Mrs. Mary DiCamillo, 94, of 344 Fifth Ave passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She was born in Frankfort on September 29, 1914, the daughter of the late Philip and Marianne Tocco Rolchigo and she attended Frankfort schools. Mary was married to her best friend and life partner, Italo DiCamillo on November 23, 1939 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mr. DiCamillo passed away on November 24, 2005 after a blessed union of 66 years. Mrs. DiCamillo was employed as a zipper setter for Little Frocks, Little Falls for many years until her retirement in 1974. Mary was an excellent cook and seamstress and made many outfits for her family and friends. She loved to gamble and play cards especially her Saturday night poker and scat games. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church. Everyone who knew Mary can attest that she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She would live each day of her life devoted to the needs and concerns of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and caring to her family. Mary is survived by her beloved daughter, Joann DiCamillo of Utica; her daughter in law, Elizabeth DiCamillo of Whitesboro; one sister, Florence Gentile of Utica; one brother, Carl Rolchigo of Utica; two grandchildren, James DiCamillo of Utica and Deanna & her husband, Casey Flynn of Rochester; two great grandchildren, Jordan Flynn and Taylor Flynn and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, James DiCamillo on October 17, 1985, five brothers, Steve Rolchigo, Vito Rolchigo, Joe Rolchigo, Philip Rolchigo and James Rolchigo and two sisters, Mamie Luggerio Scaparo and Frances Gifford. Her funeral will be held Friday morning at 10:00 am from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 am in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7:30 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Mary's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of St Luke's Home Clark North & West and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center's Emergency Room especially, Melissa Acquaviva for the wonderful care and kindness shown to her during her illness and passing. Contributions in Mary's memory maybe made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
