Mary Margaret Della Posta

Mrs. Mary Margaret Della Posta Frankfort - Mrs. Mary Margaret Della Posta, 53, of 509 Third Ave Ext passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 in Valley Health Services with her family by her side. She was born in Ilion on August 22, 1963, the daughter of Salvatore and Geraldine Hughes Tocco. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort Schuyler High School with the class of 1981. Mary later attended SUNY at Morrisville and received her degree in Dietary Technology. She was married to Frank Della Posta on November 5, 1988 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mary was employed by Herkimer County Substance Abuse Department and later as an Administrative Assistant for Herkimer County Family Court, Herkimer. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and the Marguerite Currie Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America. Mary is survived by her beloved and devoted husband, Frank Della Posta; one son, Carl Della Posta; her mother Geraldine (Geri) Tocco; one sister and brother-in-law, Ann Marie and George Treen of Ilion; her father in law and mother in law, Thomas and Mamie Della Posta of Frankfort; her in laws, Kathy and Larry Tripoli, Debbie Connarton, Carla and Mario Pumilio and Thomas and Lisa Della Posta and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Salvatore (Sam) Tocco on September 7, 2015 Her funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:45 from the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, November 2 from 4-8 at V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary's memory may be made to the Lupus Foundation Of Mid and Northern New York Inc, PO Box 139, Utica, NY 13503 or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
