Frankfort - Ms. Martha Elizabeth Clayton, 94, formerly of Streamside Manor passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Ilion on April 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Jesse and Helen Bailey Clayton. She attended Frankfort schools and graduated from Frankfort High School with the Class of 1935. She was at one time married to George Loiacano. Martha was employed by Remington Rand and later as a Tester for GE, Utica until retirement in 1978 after 28 years of dedicated service. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Addolorata Society and the American Legion Post #845 Aux., Frankfort.
Martha is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Cucci of Utica; one son & daughter in law, Jon & Cindy Loiacano of Frankfort; one brother & sister in law, Myron & Jean Clayton of FL; her grandchildren, Michael & his wife, Adrienne Loiacano, Ann & her husband, Sylvester Mc Bride, Vincent Cucci, Melanie & her husband, Kenneth Dawe; seven great grandchildren, Elle Mc Bride, Alex Mc Bride, Brett Mc Bride, Reina Loiacano, Alexa Loiacano, Matthew Dawe and Andrea Dawe; her in laws, Josephine Mezza of Frankfort and Carmella Micciche of Fontana, CA and several nieces, nephew and cousins. She was predeceased by her son in law, Anthony Cucci on September 13, 1989 and two brothers, Oliver Clayton and Maynard Clayton.
Her funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 3:00 in Our Lady Queen Of Apostles Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo Potvin. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon 4-7 at the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc.
