Frankfort - Martha M. Diliberto, 99, of Frankfort, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Foltsbrook Center with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Utica on September 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Michael and Domenica (Sciortino) Puleo and was educated in Utica schools.  Martha married Samuel Diliberto in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Utica on September 5, 1942.  Sam passed away in 2007.

At one time Martha was employed at Joy Taylor Dress Shop in Mohawk.  She and her husband operated Sam Diliberto Truck Farm.  This is where their three daughters and grandchildren spent many happy hours in the greenhouses and the produce fields.

Martha was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort.

She is survived by three daughters, Rosalie (David) Stritmater of Mohawk; Mamie (Stephen) McCauley of Ohio; and Angeline (Kerry) Oldfield of Herkimer.  Seven grandchildren, Clem (Melissa) Scalise, Sam (Erin) Scalise, Julie (Jeff) Owens, Michael (Isabel) Scalise, Kerry (Melissa) Oldfield, Martha (Seth) Oldfield-Maser and Laura Oldfield.  Seven great-grandchildren, Brianna, Ethan, Rosie, Vinny and Serena Scalise, Emelia Oldfield and Desmond Oldfield-Maser.

She leaves two sisters-in-law, Nancy Diliberto and Jane Puleo, also numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers, Philip, Salvatore and Vincent Puleo and three sisters, Anna Scordato, Mary Sohn and Sue Juliano.

She was the most wonderful loving and caring mother and Nana.  She will be remembered for the big family Sunday pasta dinners and the numerous card games around the kitchen table. Her greatest love was her family.  She had a way that made every one of them feel special.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:30 in Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, S. Frankforrt St., Frankfort where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Paul Catena, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Foltsbrook for their compassionate care of our mother.
