Marion E. Pizer, 93, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Van Rensselaer Manor, Troy, NY.
She was born on February 12, 1933 in East Frankfort, NY, to the late Joseph and Rose Cacciatore Nicolette. She attended Mohawk schools and graduated from Mohawk High School with the class of 1950. Marion was employed as an accountant for Kellogg Foods and later for Redco Food for many years until her retirement in 1996. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of Mohawk Valley Alpiners Club, the Young at Heart Senior Citizens and the Red Hat Society. Her passion was playing cards, Scrabble and crossword puzzles.
Marion is survived by her daughter and son in law, Margaret and Eric Herrmann; one son and daughter in law, William and his wife, Lori Pizer; two grandsons, John and his wife, Callie Herrmann and Joseph Herrmann; one sister, Madeline Stephenson and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Nicolette, five brothers, Enos Nicolette, Vincent Nicolette, John Nicolette, Sam Nicolette and Joseph Nicolette, one sister, Rose Baldwin.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 12:00 noon in the V.J.Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. 203 Second Ave., Frankfort with Rev. Paul Catena officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
