Frankfort - Mr. Mario Parisi, 95, of Formerly Of First Ave passed away Sunday, December 16, 2007 in Folts Home.
He was born in Seattle, WA on September 18, 1912, the son of the late Dominick and Rosa Ferraro Parisi and he attended schools there and in Cedar Lake. He was married to Josephine Tocco on September 28, 1940 in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Mrs. Parisi passed away on September 6, 1983. Mr. Parisi was employed as an assembler for Sperry Rand, Ilion for 21 years. Mario served as the custodian at St. Mary's School and later at Frankfort-Schuyler High School for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church and a member of the Frankfort Kiwanis Club for many years and was the two time recipient of Kiwanian of the Year and a life time member of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens.
Mario is survived by two brothers & one sister in law, Philip & Marion Parisi of Linwood, WA and Salvatore Parisi of Seattle, WA; three sisters, Sister Marina Rose Parisi of Topinish, WA, Sister Carmella Parisi of New Orleans, LA, and Mary Kurfess of Edmonds, WA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Anthony Parisi, Joseph Parisi and James Parisi and his step mother, Rosa Parisi
His funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 from the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave. Frankfort and at 10:00 in Church of the Annunciation where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 at the V. J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc. Members of the Young at Heart Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday at 4:15 at the funeral home for services.
