Marie V. Fallon

Mrs. Marie V. Fallon Herkimer - Mrs. Marie V. Fallon, 83, of 216 Dewey Ave passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She was born in Herkimer on June 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Felicia Fiorentino Volpicello. She attended Herkimer schools and graduated from Herkimer High School with the class 1942. She was married to Jack L. Fallon on June 12, 1948 in St. Anthony's Church. Mr. Fallon passed away on October 20, 1983. Mrs. Fallon was employed by Univac and later for MDS, Herkimer for many years until her retirement in 1985. She was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church. Throughout Marie's life, she was a gifted artist, enjoyed traveling with her sisters and loved all sports, especially golf. Marie is survived by three sisters & one brother in law, Louise Volpicello, Rose Maiola and Josephine and Rocco Losito all of Herkimer; her nieces & nephews, Rocco and his wife, Karen Losito, David and his wife, Mary Beth Losito and Lu Ann Losito & her companion, Ed Bucciero; her great nephews and great nieces, Rocco Losito III, David Losito, Michael Losito, Joseph Losito, Mary Losito, Rachel Losito, Meghan Kennedy, Jaime Kennedy and Heather Kennedy and several cousins. She was predeceased by her son, John Fallon on September 12, 1974, two sisters, Corsignano Lena Volpicello and Anna Volpicello and one brother in law, Samuel Maiola. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from the Petykiewicz, Iocovozzi, & Burns Funeral Home, 329 S. Washington St. Herkimer and at 9:30 am in Sts. Anthony And Joseph Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7.
